Ingredients for vegan cheese sauce
- 150 g new potatoes
- 60 g carrots
- 1 medium onion
- 250 mL water
- 60 g tahini (sesame paste)
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 tsp mustard
- 1 tsp fleur de sel (Khoisan fleur de sel)
- ½ tsp pepper
- 1 tsp lime juice
- ¼ tsp chilli powder
- 100 mL olive oil (Amanprana Verde Salud olive oil)
- 4 tbsp nutritional yeast flakes
- 1 tsp saffron (Amanprana)
Preparation of vegan cheese sauce
- Chop the potatoes, carrots and onion into small cubes.
- Bring a little bit of water to the boil and add the cubed vegetables.
- Let the water boil until the vegetables are cooked, then strain the vegetables.
- Place them in a blender with the other ingredients and purée to the consistency of liquid cheese.
- If the mixture is too stiff, you can add a little extra olive oil.
- If the mixture is too runny, add a few more yeast flakes.
- Add the sauce to your dishes as desired. Bon appetit!
