Rehabilitation Carpe Diem
Almost 20 years ago I started a practice as a physiotherapist with the aim of working with children with developmental problems. Now so many years later, this has grown into a group practice with different disciplines. However, where in the beginning we were mainly confronted with purely motor problems, we now also notice a lot of emotional problems, concentration problems, ADHD, …. . You also know that the list can still be expanded. For several years I have been looking for better and different therapeutic techniques and so slowly I am getting more and more on the nutritional track.
I would like to share the story of my 8 year old son Arno with you. Arno has always been a mischievous boy. From just after birth he could never sit still, was always a bit restless. As a toddler he was a real rascal who had ideas that you sometimes didn’t think were possible. As a physiotherapist, working with children with developmental problems, I did notice that he has a good chance of getting the diagnosis in any testing since he would achieve a maximum score on all items in the DSM-IV criteria. Also at school people notice that he sometimes does very unusual things, but also always corrects his mistakes with a smile. He is cheerful and the energy problem would have been solved if everyone were as fresh and cheerful as him.
Arno himself has long indicated that it is difficult for him to concentrate at school. As parents, we notice this too. The therapy he gets from me as a mother and in my colleague’s practice help him, but I wanted to do more. Since I had known for a long time that certain nutrients should not be taken, I was drawn to the path of nutrition. Sugars were limited and replaced as much as possible, but it was still not enough. I had vaguely heard about matcha and after some research I came across gula java matcha. Initially, Arno was not in favor of this green drink. The color scared him off. I did take it myself and immediately felt the effect of more energy but channeled energy and especially more focus. After some time, Arno was also prepared to get to work. He also immediately felt better with the product. Sometimes, when his head is full, he takes an extra dose in the evening before going to bed, but usually he just takes 1 teaspoon in the morning and that is enough for a better focus. School is also doing better. He is more focused so that his slow pace speeds up a bit. He gets more schoolwork done and he can focus better on tasks. We also notice that he is calmer at home. He no longer gives me the feeling of: “ah, there is our little ADHDer” because he is still ingenious for a while, but there is more brake and harmony. I’m just happy that this tea is one step closer to complete the picture and help our child develop into a person who can survive in this busy and demanding society. I hope to inform others in this way about the useful contributions of the product.
