When? | Saturday 13.09.2014 |
The Amanprana North Sea Challenge is a recreational sports event along the Belgian coast: from De Panne to Knokke-Heist (70km) or to Ostend (30km): on foot, running, by bike or mountain bike. The aim is to provide an event for recreational users as well as trained athletes and a whole range of people in between!
The idea arose from the dream of one day walking from France to the Netherlands. When Luk Hendrickx realized that he would not be able to make this dream come true, his youngest son took matters into his own hands and made the journey himself on foot. After many positive reactions, he successfully organized the first edition of the North Sea Challenge on 21 September 2013.
With the second edition we aim to increase the scale and we hope to be able to collect 2000 sports enthusiasts. We call on as many people as possible to participate in the NSC on September 13, 2014. Walking, running, cycling or mountain biking together for a good cause: clean coasts and sea for our children. You can register from the beginning of April. Join Kim, Gella, Martine, Luc and Ruben. You don’t have to be a top athlete to walk, run or cycle. Everyone at their own pace.
50% of the proceeds go to the Sea First Foundation. Like A-NSC, SFF is a not-for-profit organization committed to protecting the oceans and their inhabitants. It does this mainly through awareness-raising lectures and packages for schools. At least 5% of Amanprana’s profits have been going to all kinds of campaigns under the heading ‘save the sea’ for years. That is why Amanprana is the main sponsor of this wonderful initiative and co-organizer of this second edition.
