Na carnaval begint het vasten: een periode waarbij, door sommige godsdiensten, 40 dagen niet of alleen tijdens zonsondergang wordt gegeten. Deze periode duurt tot Pasen. Tegenwoordig merken wij er hier in de westerse wereld bijna niets van, er ontstaan wel steeds nieuwe initiatieven met hetzelfde gedachtegoed. Zo hebben we in Belgi\u00eb sinds 6 jaar de Dagen Zonder Vlees. De 40 dagen &#8216;vasten&#8217; worden dan gebruikt om minder vlees en vis te eten.<\/p>\n<h2><!--more-->Mijn advies voor hen die meedoen aan de Dagen Zonder Vlees: seitan!<\/h2>\n<p>Zelf ben ik al vegetari\u00ebr, dus voor mij verandert niets, maar ik sta heel erg achter dit concept: veelal fervente carnivoren die voor 40 dagen het vlees van hun menu schrappen, hun ecologische voetafdruk verminderen. Wat ik hen aanraad? Seitan, mijn favoriete vleesvervanger vol plantaardige <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bertyn.eu\/eiwitten-en-aminozuren-seitan-is-de-eiwit-kampioen\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">eiwitten en aminozuren<\/a>. Zeker de vleeseters zijn altijd gecharmeerd van de <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bertyn.eu\/\">seitan van Bertyn<\/a>, die ook wel de \u2018filet pur\u2019 onder de vleesvervangers genoemd wordt.
